The Extras

With your Thunderbird Hunting Club membership, you can hunt, fish, and have a grand time year-round.

Six months of bird hunting from early teal in September, dove through October, ducks and geese from November to January, snipe into February, and Conservation Season Geese into March.

For the other six months, with the calendar year starting March 1, you can enjoy the lodge and the surrounding grounds/leases for relaxing retreat from the city, barbeque meals, host family/church/Scout get-togethers, have clay shoots, dog-train, marsh fish, hog hunting (limited), kayak marshes/bays, gather oysters, crab, wildlife observation, and photography.

Water is on our properties for eight months of the year benefitting not only waterfowl, but other migratory and non-migratory birds. We begin pumping water on the properties as early as late July. Dependent on farming and ranching needs we leave water on our properties until April for migrating birds and spring dog training.

Always something to do at Thunderbird!
